The fuel tank is 30 to 35 feet from generator and will stop when below1/2 on my fifth wheel does it need a bigger pump

I added a 2nd pump when trying to figure out my problems with my generator.
I installed it 2 feet from the tank and tapped into the wires for the original pump at the generator. I can run the generator until the tank gauge shows empty.
My tank is about 32 feet from the generator, thatís a long distance for a small pump.
