Hyperlite XLR 30HDS

Hi, I was looking for at Toy Hauler that I can pull with my new 2018 Titan XD Gas Truck (11000lb max.). After a lot of research, I decided to go with the XLR 30HDS and not the Wolfpack 25pack12 since it is lighter. Any feedback on the 2019 vs.2018 hyperlite 30HDS? Anything I need to know before I pull the trigger? I have never owned an camper. :-)
Thx Oliver

I'd say the first thing you need to know is that your gas mileage will suck, just be prepared for that.

Make sure you have a proper WD\anti sway hitch set up. Do a thorough inspection of all parts of the camper when you go to pick it up. Ask questions, don't let them rush you out the door if you're not comfortable with any of the functions, or how things work.

Thx - any recommendations on the brand of the WD and anti sway hitch? Camping world has some on sale for 50% off.

I use the Equalizer and really like it. This is one thing that you don't want to cheap out on.

I just picked up my 2019 30HDS it does not have a cd/dvd player built into the radio as the 18 year model does. Also the couch does not have the heated vibrating massage option any more. They went to a power recliner with USB ports on either end. With that said you get a HDMI plug in the front of the radio that I assume you can plug in a DVD player to. That’s what I have found so far hope it helps good luck.

I would add to make sure you have E rated tires. I pull a 2017 29hfs and the E's were a must have.
F150 with a blue ox 1500 lb wd hitch and I swear by it. Best product out there for the money.

Which Titan do you have, gas or diesel? Either way, I would add airbags. I have the Titan also and added the bags to level out the truck. Prior to them it was nose up. I have the 2017 29 hyperlite

how far do you plan to travel? what is the payload of your truck? I towed a 29hfs with a 1/2 ton truck but think the 30hds loaded with stuff and a toy will be pushing the limits of the truck
