Leak

Every time it rains the countertop behind the stove is wet. it is dripping down the wall right where the stove vent is (on the bottom right side) I tried closing the stove vent but only one side will snap shut. Even with only one side snapped shut there doesn't seem to be much room for water to get in. Any thoughts on what is causing it and what to do to fix it. I did put a piece of plastic in there to keep both sides snapped shut but did not seem to help. Thanks.

Pictures would help to get recommendations.

Caulk the outside stove vent. The rain comes down over the awning down the sidewall right on the vent. The vent outside is not caulked. How do I know?? It happened to ours. I clear caulked it top and sides of that vent and have not had a problem since. So much water come from the air conditioner area and overwhelms the rain gutter . Also check your gutter, mine is long. They butted two prices of gutter together and it had a hairline crack and let water streak down the side. I caulked that sucker too!!! Hope this helped..

After taking a closer look I think it is from the water running down. I caulked it. So far so good. Thanks.
