Loading and unloading garage

I’m new to toy haulers. I have a 29 ft XLR. Can I load and unload the garage while unhitched from my truck if I’ve got the levelers set? I know you shouldn’t on a regular flatbed trailer but, wasn’t sure with the travel trailer.

What are you loading? Bicycles? ATVs? UTVs?

I only load & unload my motorcycle when hooked up to the truck. No stabilizers are down.

Yes, as long as the stabilizers are down, you can load/unload.

X2 We load and unload our golf car almost never with the trailer hitched to the truck. Granted ours was a fifth wheel. most of the time with the stabilizers down.

If you think about it the garage is in the back (normally behind the axles) the tongue weight has to remain heavier than the back end even when loading as the weight that you are adding can't lift the front end or you would not be able to control it towing it. A car hauler is different as you are bringing the weight starting in the back moving it to the front or tongue end.

I thought you can only load or unload if you are in the white zone. Oops, I think that is from a song. Nevermind!

I have unloaded while unhooked and level. However for loading my Electra Glide, I've found it better to be hooked up and the trailer jack as high as I can get it to avoid the dreaded kickstand rub.

Yes you can . this way you can raise the front anmd have a lower load angle . best to put the stabilizers down but not necessary at all . have loaded my 900+ lbs Vulcan many times with out stabilizers down the unit doesn't even know your loading

I've loaded my RZR XP1000 (1500lbs) unhitched , wheels are chocked I just go slow and easy, I do keep the water tank full when I travel.

I've loaded my RZR and my Harley without being hitched and no stabilizers down. Won't hurt a thing IMO.

As stated go slow
