Cool Murphy bed in garage, front living area

I noticed a floor plan with a front living area. I really liked the other FW's I have seen with the couches and theatre seating up front. The only problem I see with this is there is a murphy bed slide-out in the garage. That would take up valuable space for those of us that need that space to haul our toys. Defeats the purpose. I can not find the specs that show how much space is used for that, anyone have any idea?

I think the better option would have just had the one queen size bed come down from the ceiling. If anyone from the XLR division is reading these, please take note for future models.

Does anyone have one of these Amps? Can't remember what number it is.

Okay, just looked. It is a 385Amp. It also says Dealer Stock....What does that mean?

I don't recall if I read it on their website or if it's in the brochure they were handing out at the show. I think it is a king size bed, and it's in a slideout. So when you pull the slide in there is only room for 1 bike or 1 golf cart. And it also has French doors at the ramp. Don't know if that was an option or standard.

Dealer stock means it is a discontinued floorplan and the only units available are the unsold ones left at dealers. So, if you want one and find one with the options and decor you are after, grab it before someone else does. No special orders on the 385 as the factory isn't building them anymore.

It was just discontinued in the last month or so. You can easily find one on a dealer lot if you have your heart set on that floor plan...

Not sure where you are, but I think Couchs' has 2 of them listed on their website. I know at least 1, I looked at it last night.

Yep, I see they have one and RVW has one somewhere also. Unfortunately, the way it is laid out with the murphy bed slide in it, then there will not be room in the garage for our trike and bike. Guess I will just stick with mine. No problem, love mine, love the countertops and colors. Love that it has stairs and not a ladder to the loft. Would love it if my husband would like to travel more though.

HAH!! I feel your pain. We have the exact same unit you have. Wife tells me over Memorial day she's unhappy with the floorplan. I picked it out so it's my fault!! Found what she wants, but can't swing the deal the dealer wants. I am seriously considering changing what we have to make it what she likes. Would be cheaper for me to put in new furniture (she doesn't like the full slide party dinette) and add a half bath in the garage . We only take 1 bike so losing garage space isn't a big deal for me.

I'm thinking that is why they discontinued it. You just can't compromise garage space in a toy hauler.

I think they should fix it by putting the queen bed in the ceiling. Make it a little comfier...maybe thicker. Still keep the garage space and have the bed in the back. That would solve everything. Simple fix.

You can have a real party in that. Lots of open space up front. Lots of open space in the kitchen area. Who do I need to talk to about reconfiguring that garage? LOL

I hear you. Front living rooms are all the rage in the 5th wheel lines right now. It's just a tough sell in a toyhauler. What would work for you is that trailer but skip the murphy bed and use the standard drop down happijac bed system. No loss of garage space while loaded and ready to travel. If you had enough coin, I'm sure it could be done. But, would it be worth the $?
