New Thunderbolt 417amp
Just returned from RV Wholesalers, in Ohio, with our new XLR 417amp. See related RV Wholesalers dealer review in "dealer reviews" section.
Like all trailers, it had a few minor defects that the dealer fixed after our inspection. However, we were completely blown away with the new design changes on the Thunderbolt.
XLR went to a dark wood instead of the typical light brown. The vinyl floor color is updated and lighter. There are blue lights throughout the coach; including transparently embedded in the countertop edges, above the main sofa in a new style overhead panel, inside the bathroom countertop, inside the master bed headboard, above most cabinets throughout, and in the exterior step wells.
XLR also replaced the traditional Thunderbolt sound bar with full overhead surround sound, a kicker subwoofer and kicker amplifier certified/tested at 139 watts, installed dark wood in the garage instead of the diamond plate, plus they changed the rear patio awning to electric, and used a smaller square tubing for the patio railing.
We also opted for the multi-function wireless remote, residential fridge, dual keyless entry, dual pass-through dinettes (garage sleeps or feeds 8) and three season doors.
The weight came in at 14.6k but the triple axle handles like a dream. We are so impressed with this build that we wish there were something more we could do to represent FR and XLR. We are extremely satisfied.
(We know things will break and go wrong, but the design, style, and functionality are cutting edge)
