New XLR 340x12 HP

Picked up the new XLR 340x12 HP at the dealer yesterday...currently in the driveway checking it out (so far so good, everything functioning as described), and starting to stock with the basic needs.

How does it tow and what is your pin weight? Air bags?

The rig towed very good… I won’t say “if it wasn’t for mirrors I wouldn’t know its back there,” but the 6.7 diesel motor (and transmission) did a good job getting up to speed on a short freeway entrance ramp. Did run at 70 mph for a while with the cruise control set…so could just sit back and drive. Also liked how the transmission ran the rpms higher prior to downshifting while under braking...always good control with getting it stopped. It’s a big heavy rig combo and the F350 handled it nicely…I believe an 8 hour day behind the wheel will be a very pleasurable experience. No air bags needed with the dry 2640 lbs. pin weight and 11,600 lbs. trailer. Backend dropped maybe 3”, and the ride was very smooth.
Don’t know my final pin weight yet… going to start stocking trailer with the basics and load the Harley in the back prior to heading to the scales.
