On board fuel pump

I have a 29' 2016 Forest River XLR toy hauler, I cannot activate the gas pump. I poured 1.5 gallons of gas in the tank, pressed and held the power switch also at the same time squeezed the nozzle but nothing came out.
My next step was to listen for the pump, figuring with my ear next to it I should hear it, nothing. Next started to look for 12V at the switch and gauge, found none. There is a fuse back there, it ohmed out fine.
One more thing, I found on fuse position #9 (at power panel) what was labeled "fuel", fuse sadly was good.
What am I missing?

Thank you

I have a Stealth, not sure how close to yours, but I have two switches for the fuel hose. One inside (master) that activates the pump/15 minute timer. There is also a "safety" switch located just forward of the fuel box. If that safety switch is off, nothing runs, but the fuel gauge still shows quantity like it is running. The toggle switch on mine is a simple on or off and blends really well with everything around it.

Mine is the same way there are two spots for power. Here's a picture.

My stealth has the main switch and a toggle switch under the toy hauler, near the fuel hose compartment.

I have an '09 XLR 40X12. When my fuel pump did not work, it was the pump itself. Had to replace it 2 yrs ago. This past Thanksgiving it quit again. This time the gauges did not work. Took it in and it was a diode or a resister something like that. Part was $80. At least it was not the pump, I won't tell you how much that was, out of warranty.

If by 29' you mean a 29HFS, I have the same model. There is a master switch in the kitchen by the stove. It is the switch closest to the wall on the 4-gang switch panel. Seems like a logical place, right??

I have a 2016 XLR 29hfs. In my unit the master fuel switch is located in the garage in a 4 gang switch bank. That switch needs to be on, then you can activate the pump outside by bumping the fuel switch inside the fuel door. Hope this helps.

Burbs, mine is a 2015...guess they changed it to a more logical location. Fuel control in garage makes a bit more sense than fuel control in kitchen!

And really like all the labeling for what is what. Its certainly trial by error and at night some may think you're flashing SOS with all the lights going on and off!!

2015 29 like Dennis' its quite logical... fire on stove good / fire while fueling bad... and being near the stove which uses gas; to turn on the gas pump. I'll go back to sleep now

many toy haulers have a nice labeled panel. Hyperlite asks. "what's a panel".... love the guys at XLR but this is something they need to do.

Uberluber, Did you ever get your fuel pump to work? What model is your TH? As others have said, their is one sw. inside and one out side to activate the pump. It may also need more than 1.5 gal to pick up. Good luck any way.

Like hdmtnrider said, 1-1/2 gallons might not be enough in the tank to be able to pump out via the nozzle. I cannot get the last 2 gallons out of my tank. Also as a note: the tank on a 2015 29HFS is 30 gallons and you should never fill beyond 27 gallons. Did you get the pump to run?
