I pull with SRW 2020 GMC 2500 Denali 4X4. I added 5000 lb bags to level it up. It pulls and handles great.

I had a 2015 ram 2500 short Bed crew cab with air suspension. It will tow it. Pin weight and hitch will put you over payload...if short bed ypu
L want a slider, that’s 300lb on top of the 2480 or so of the KLR... Mine pulled fine. But still... I bumped up to a 3500 to ensure I had enough payload.

It’s not towing or more importantly stopping...those both will be fine.. you have like 17000lb and then LSR is way less than that... . it’s payload.. and you’ll be over.. but that happens a lot with 5th wheels.... still.. something to think about..

I just picked up an XLR 321 that I am towing with a 2002 Chev. 2500HD Duramax. I did about 1,000 miles this weekend and this is my accessment:

Truck: 7500# Airlift bags at 60#, oversized transmission pan, Anderson 20,000# rail hitch, Bullydog tuner set at 2 (tow/haul), Michelin 265x75x16 tires that upgrade from factory 3,000 to 3400# each.

My trip was interstate and secondary roads. I traveled around 60 to 70 MPH on the open road. The elevation varied from 3,300 ft. to 7,800 ft. Temperatures ranged from 39 degrees to 78 degrees and there were times when there was a pretty good crosswind that was noticeable in handling, however I never felt out of control.

I never saw trans. temperatures above 210 degrees nor engine temps above 210. EGT temps were not above 1,200 degrees except on a few brief occasions where they would go to 1,300 on a hard pull.

I did not weigh the rig, but I am assuming that I was probably a little overloaded, however, the truck handled everything just about the same as when I was pulling my 1996 32" Holiday Rambler.

Bigbrown is your truck a standard bed? And what hitch are you using? I have a 2021 2500hd standard bed and I'm trying to figure what hitch to use. Have a XLR 32RZR14 on order.

I have a standard bed Chev 2500 and an Anderson Ultimate hitch. The hitch is designed to allow several different configurations to change bed to cab distance. I can turn my 321 at least 80 degrees, and probably a little more.Click image for larger version

XLR 321 pulled with F350

When the DW determined the XLR 321 was "the" choice, I had to upgrade the TV. Shopping around for the new truck, I found that it was possible to find a 250/2500 however very few had enough payload to make it viable for a family of four. When I was calculating taking off the spare tire and how much weight I would have to lose, it was time to pay the $1k to just make it a 1 ton truck!

I ended up with a F350 SRW long bed and selected the Andersen Ultimate Hitch. Towed it for a number of shorter trips and its great. Got a longer summer trip coming up and know that I wont have any issues.
