Question rear screen

I have a 2011 27 hfs.It has no rear screen on ramp entrance.I have looked at aftermarket options but cannot decide. A feed back would help. I looked at pulldowns and zipper closer.

Gearing up for a 6 week trip south... Plans are to drive to LA then take a right....... Avoiding the mountains and taking a route given to me by friends. I will only have my Harley in the back as well as my Vinyl Decal cutter. To me there are mods that should have been done from the Factory but am doing them myself. The adding of access door to get at the bypass the access door at the foot of the bed to easily access the under bed storage without lifting the mattress. and the access doors at the end of each dinette. Adding outlets here and there. But for me the setup was perfect especially the extra door to the cargo area. I am a firm believer that every time you stop you check the tie downs on your bikes and either using the regular door and walking through the entire trailer or dropping the back door is stupid. Plus makes a separate entrance if you turn it into a bedroom once at your destination. Will let you know any other issues after I get back or even during my trip....

The toy hauler I previously owned had a screen. I thought it was a nice feature when I bought it. As it turns out, I never used the screen. Not once. I opened the ramp, loaded or unloaded and closed the ramp/door. Just my way of doing things.

We have the zipper screen. It's ok, we have used it a few times. I would say a pull down would be easier to use.

We have a zipper deal. Its not something we use an awful lot. Its a real pain to unroll and get all zipped together.

When I bought my trailer, I thought they all came with them. I didn't realize that it was a dealer installed, and rather expensive option.

Back from my trip and let me tell you I loved having the pull down screen as I used it alot. days and nights that there was a nice breeze from the rear of the trailer I left it open. Creating one hell of a breeze throughout the entire trailer, also the first week the mosquitoes were terrible. sitting having cocktails while looking at the Gulf of Mexico without any bugs was a wonderful thing. Now Living in Wisconsin where our state bird is the Mosquito the pull down screen is a great and fast way to make the cargo area a screened in porch.

I wanted one for my 21rr, couldn't find one, so decided to make one. I used fiberglass screen, quilt binding for the edges and velcro. Stick it on, peel it off, fold it and store it. Quick, simple and inexpensive.
