Swivel TV Mount

I would like to put a swivel tv mount in the living room of our 2018 FR 37TSX13 XLR. The fixed mount is great for the person sitting right in front of the TV but not so good for the passenger side of the couch. Looking for suggestions.

Mike

Thanks for the reply, does this come with an ability to lock it place for traveling?

No it doesn't. My mount hasn't moved while in tow and its not locked. If you wanted to you can add eye hooks on the wall behind it and use bungee cords.

My XLR 375 AMP also came with a fixed mount TV bracket and I switched it out immediately for a swivel mount for the same reason. The rig did not come with a mount in the garage so I put the fixed mount in there, below the loft.

I recommend pulling off the entire decorative sheeting behind the TV. You'll need to locate the studs behind the thin panel. The trim is installed with staples so it's easy to pry off carefully. Measure the new swivel TV mounting bolt pattern carefully. Drill pilot holes so TV fits into recessed area, while making room for sound bar.

Reinstall decorative panel and trim with screws. There's lots of wiring back there and I assure you, you'll have to get back there for other reasons and you don't wanna be dealing with staples. Now you can securely install new swivel mount through sheeting and into studs.

Make sure to secure TV with bungee cords or Velcro during transit.

And these are great bungee cords for this job. The flat ones work great. I've had one holding mine back while traveling for nearly 8 years.
