Its better to have more bar than the minimum you need. You only adjust them to what you need: and 1000# IMO isn't enough for these XLRs.

I put the second sway control on and it is like night and day. I have a Super lite 27 RKS that wanted to wander. The second sway and up one link, to three, on the hitch made it a pleasure to tow. I tow with a 2015 Ram 1500 4X4 Hemi with 3.21 gears and haul a 6000 lb trailer. With only one sway bar it was not fun at times with wind and semis.

That's what they advised me to use I do have a street Glide and sportster in the back plus two full propane tanks and two battery's plus both front compartments full.
I do have the 5200 lb axles.

And as Wolfwhistle states they are adjustable with the chain so you can always have a lose 1500 lb bar but you can't tighten up a 1000 lb bar enough if you need it.

hey stu, glad to hear from someone who actually installed the second sway bar with success, mine seemed to tow ok with one but I will throw the other one on before our next trip, thanks for the info. take care joe
