XLR 27KW Push/Pull Cables

We bought this leftover 2018 Nitro about a month ago. This morning while dumping the black tank I found three push/pull cables behind the skirting to the left of the black tank drain. I’ve searched and can not find what they are for. Any ideas?

Push/pull cables are for opening slide valves to dump tanks. I'm guessing 1 for black tank, 1 for gray tank 1 and 1 for gray tank 2. What did the seller tell you about them during your PDI?


Could you post a pic of the cable handles?

The PDI was a joke. He didn’t even tell me where the spare was. I chose to install my own hitch/weight bars and all the techs left before I even connected my truck. Thankfully all lights and brakes worked! He went over the basic operation, move the slide, move the bunk beds and auto bathroom vent. I have had so many issues with this thing. Issues I feel should have been corrected before we picked it up. This is all new to us, we purchased our first RV in April, and switched to this unit last month. Here is a pic. I was thinking what you suggested, but not sure if they should all be open or closed? I have noticed my black tank fills very quickly. We setup Friday evening and I had to dump Sunday morning. Only two adults. Also I barely got anything out of my grey tanks this morning.

The funny thing is, we bought a Cherokee 26rr new in April. Had zero problems. This one was considerably more money and nothing but headaches.

If you determined the black tank fills quickly by checking the tank level indicator lights, you should know those things aren't trustworthy at all. The dump valve handles should be pushed IN to close the valves... they should all be closed until you pull them to dump.
Am I seeing rust on the handle stems? That doesn't look good. I think mine are aluminum - don't rust.

Yes there is rust on them. I’d have never moved them. Just found this morning. So I should keep them closed, connect drain tube, open pull valve there, then pull cable?
