xlr27hfs dinette carpet

I was wondering what is underneath the carpeting in the dinette area? Is it vinyl flooring? I wish it did not have carpeting for easy cleanup.

Also, has anyone removed it or do I have to cover it with some sort of plastic?

Good question, Ours also has carpet that came covered with a clear plastic. I left the plastic in place to protect the carpet. I would like to replace the carpet with a vinyl the matches the rest of the floor. To do it right I think the dinnett would have to be removed. I have a friend that does flooring I'll have to ask him.

I never did get why the powers that be decided carpeting in a camper is a good thing.....Ey yi yi.....more to worry about. When it's time to replace carpeting, I will do vinyl or pergo floor and use area rugs/carpets where needed. I have only one room carpeted in my house...master bedroom. I prefer HW floors and tiles. No stains!
