T24RQMX bent front cross frame

I'm currently fixing my frame but thought I would share this. This is the front cross frame right behind the batteries. Frame header was bent (bowed) 15/16 inch.

Is the frame actually bent or this brace? Looking at the pic is looks like the bow if front to back like maybe it hit something. How are you going to straighten it?

I’d love more information about this, kind of unclear what the damage is and you didn’t say if was caused by something such as jackknifing, like Bruce said.

Okay, wasn't from a jacknife occurrence. Most likely caused by the frame twisting as a result of weight distribution bars. The front frame or header was pushed back into alignment using a bottle jack and supported by the welded tongue coupler. It was very easy to push back into place. Once in place, 2 supports were added. See attached.

X2. Those tongues and frames will not stand much sideways force. As a rule, I use the "Aircraft Nose Gear Protocol". Max angle at 70°. Sometimes it requires a few pull ups getting into a site, but it beats tearing up the equipment.

I have repaired several trailers with this type damage. The ones I know were damaged by turning to sharp with distribution bars and the they jammed between the hitch and frame of trailers. One was an aluminum horse trailer the other was a 2000 flagstaff travel trailer. I fixed them both kinda like you did. Jacked them out into place and welded in som fish plates inside the frame and then welded 2”x4” 3/16” wall rectangle tubing to the fish plates. The top of the frame wasn’t welded on and I avoided welding straight up and down onto the frame as that can lead to weakening of the frame and future cracks. Never weld straight up and down on a frame. U shaped or V shaped fish plates are the way to go.. Anyway good save on your trailer.....
