Stereo/TV sound question

Hi guys, newbie around these parts, but not new to RV'ing/trailering.

I have a new to me 2010 Stealth FSL0119 It has the Clarion DXZ465MP, built in stereo, and the standard TV/DVD combo. I was installing a AUX. input to the stereo when i discovered the stereo RCA inputs are being used by what appears to be a line in from the TV.

My question is: Is the TV supposed to play thru the coach speakers ? and if so, how do you make it play that way. Do you have to switch something on the TV or Stereo ? I do not have a manual for either unit, and running thru the menu on the TV does not reveal a different sound output option.

Also, the sound coming from one of the interior speakers when running thru my ipod is about 50% quieter that the other. (only two speakers inside) All plugs are pushed all the way in, and the speaker sounds normal when played thru the radio side of the stereo.
Any thoughts on that ?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
Tori

Hey Tori,
Usually that aux line in from the TV to the head unit is so that you can set your head unit to aux and indeed play the tv through your cabin speakers. Check to see if you have an additional aux input (aux 2). Also, check your faders on the head unit. Sounds like they got moved possibly.

Torri,

Read your post and I have no idea of how to help you other than I searched the internet for a owners manual for your stereo. I have never attached anything to this forum before so I hope it works.

You never know... it might come in handy some day.
(I hope it's the right one).

Thanks guys. I have seen the owners manual and it's not much help other than operation of the head unit. I could have used the install manual, but i think i've got that much figured out now. I also know how to operate the fader and balance control.
It appears i have a problem with the LF channel. It quieter than the RF on AUX, TUNER, and CD. I've swapped speakers from left to right, and confirmed polarity of the wiring.
I still however cannot get the TV to play thru the AUX input as suggested. There is no signal from the TV for the RCA line out.
I'll have to find a manual for the Sansui TV, but i the model # is behind the wall mount bracket, so that's making that difficult.

I was hoping someone else with the same trailer and equipment could tell me how theirs operates.
