2013 Sanibel 3500 Scare Light

One of the scare lights on my unit burned out. Looking for information as to the replacement bulb for the light. The round light fixture appears to be caulked on to prevent water intrusion. Is there a gasket that needs to be replaced when I change out the bulb? What bulb do I need? Any assistance would be deeply appreciated. Currently traveling cross-country and don't want to break loose the fixture until I have the part/s in hand.

I replace both my scare lights with LEDs, my lights did not have a gasket just chalking. I wish I could remember the size of the LEDs.

Just replaced both (LT & RT) on my Rockwood 5-ver & they were 1156 bulbs. I also re-installed caulking but also wrapped the top with a special rubberized tape. I covered the lens & housing just at the top area to add additional sealing.

I wish I would have had time to search out the LED replacement as the interior of my 2015 camper is all LED.

If you look closely there are 4 small holes in the clear lens of the scare light a Phillips screw driver will fit into this hole and unscrew the 4 screws holding the lens onto the back. Carefully remove the screws and the lens will come straight off, be careful it is very easy to drop the screws. The bulb has to be pushed in slightly to remove. You can get either a regular or LED light to replace the 1156 (I think) bulb in the light. I replaced mine with a LED bulb when they burned out and the LED is much whiter and brighter.

Our "Scare Light" is the Big Round one! The 4 screw hole areas that hold the Lens on were Filled with Caulk, what a job to dig it out!Removed the 4 Philips screws and the Lens comes off, there is a Gasket that stays on the Base! the Base is Caulked to the Sidewall plus 4 screws! I placed "Close Cell Sponge" back in the Lens holes,1/2" Dia X 1/2 long! Youroo!!
