Nice Job Air235! Did you have to cut the table or was it a perfect fit from the get go?

I cut off just enough to square it up, no more than 2 inches and I used a piano hinge to attach it to the cabinet. It works out great for the two of us. We just had to do something with the dinette, way to uncomfortable to sit at and watch tv.

Table looks good. Very nice job. We personally just put the benches and table top in storage so when we sell the trailer, they have the option of bench or not.

Chairs look great.

so we finally got it took delivery today!! 2015 year used.
the previous owners used it twice it still smells new!!
took us almost 4 hours to transfer stuff from Jayco 21' lol...
going camping Labor Day weekend to try it out.
we had the dealer install power tong jack and 2 max air vent covers.
also they installed fantastic fan in the living room.

ok, who knows the location of the hot water heater bypass in 235.
also does this model have the hose for the antifreeze when winterizing?

There "may" be an extra valve, T-fitting and hose right before the water pump, under the refrigerator. Found that in our 235 ... the hose goes nowhere, and would be perfect place for opening to drain run from water pump to fresh water tank, or running in anti-freeze water pump forward. There was a separate valve to shunt the line running from fresh tank to the water pump, before the pump, which lends to argument that this would be multi-purpose (drain back, then close and anti-freeze forward.)

As you are in the same compartment as the power converter, and where the mains come in from outside, treat things with respect appropriate for electricity. Everything is insulated as it should be, but if you are uncomfortable / unfamiliar then perhaps best left to your dealer - blah blah - insert legal disclaimer language here - contents may settle during shipping and handling - screen colours may vary - not available in all states -

"Oh Yeah," the water heater bypass is BEHIND the water heater, access it by removing the panel to the LEFT of the cabinet under the kitchen sink. There are two S2 screws for this. The hoses will match up with your instruction manual, and the pipes are really nicely colour coded, white (or sometimes blue)=cold, red=hot.

Here's something simple we did, that blank panel in the kitchen drawers cabinet was just crying out too loud.





The available depth for drawer slides was "odd" ... we chose the fancy "self closing" slides, which come in two-inch intervals. Not enogh depth for the 16-inch versions, so had to use 14-inch and some fancy brackets for the rear of then, which netted us a 12-inch usable drawer.

"Stole" the matching handle from the bathroom, placed a nice but plain stainless / brushed handle in it's place. ( Leaves one more to "steal" for a future project. )

Jeff, Great mod, we've been thinking about do the same thing since we got the trailer. Always seemed like such a waste of space to have that blank cover there.

Since we are prone to tinkering ... some more mods ...

The dinette table as originally supplied, is a little tight to sit behind. This simple mod rotates it nintey degrees and is non-disruptive, you can go back to original at any time.


The whole concept is "Gravity Powered" ... it is gently pressed against the back wall, and a pipe insulating foam protects both the table edge and the wall. It rests on top of the existing cushion. Friction holds the foam in place, and makes it easily removeable.


We constructed a "mini" table, with a cut-out on the bottom that nests around the existing pole attachments on the factory table. The nesting cut-out is routed for a good fit, and spaced so that the original table only presses gently towards the wall.


When we dis-assembled our previous TC, we harvested many parts including a similar set of table supports. We did NOT make any changes to the length of the poles; the cushion height worked out quite well for us.


It travels "assembled" just fine, we have been using it this full season and it has never come off. There was a bit of "measure twice - trim - fuss" to get the placement of the notch just right.

When we dis-assembled the old TC we found many years of insects that had unsuccessfully tried to winter inside the walls where the refrigerator mounted.
We found the Stainless Steel Refrigerator Vent Screens on sale, and installed them on the new box.

Added a few extra "zip ties" ... the two per strip supplied would probably be just fine, but they do degrade with age, and since the screens mount externally, a few extras are cheap insurance against leaving these nice stainless screens on the highway ...


Kinda trivial ... there are two plastic light fixtures over the bed. The white plastic was "loud" and harsh on the eyes ... found some like fixtures in black on eBay ... only a few buxx each. In a fit of RV Modding OCD, swapped in the "white" switches to provide contrast when looking to turn them on/off.


When we first got the TT, we immediately swapped all the lights for LED's ... the "secret" was to find them on eBay ... we needed approximately twenty for all the interior / overhead lights, fridge, stove hood ... couldn't decide on "warm" or "white" so ordered sufficient quantity of BOTH. Doubt we paid much more than $25 for twenty of BOTH, or forty total ... so the fridge, pass-thru, and stove hood got the color we decided against for the overheads. And we still have some-teen spares, when/if they ever bug out.

Relatively simple mods ... but part of the fun of slowly making it "Ours."

Just added the "new" drawer. Then decided to redo the lower fronts to match the new one.

Sorry for the delay, spent the "off season" somewhat offline as well.

The drain hose for the fridge sits above one of the stainless screens, so it will still gravity drain down as it should. But good spot on your part, if that was not addressed the water might just pool in back of fridge land, not so good.
