Avenger ATI 27DBS Shower

My wife and I looked at a 2017 Avenger ATI 27DBS yesterday , and noticed that in the the shower there was now liner or shower surround around the walls like you see in most units, the same wall board used throughout the unit was the same in the shower. Hope I didn't confuse anyone, but I am and would like to know if this common on the Avenger products. Please help if you can.

The vinyl wallboard is water resistant and should be just fine in the shower.The plastic tub/shower surround is an option or factory add on. As long as the shower pan has a good sealant around the rim (and unlike our Avenger, the drain is connected to the trap) you should be good to go. When we had a trailer without the surround we always had an extra towel that we used to dry the walls down after every shower(by choice,not need). Trailer was 7 years old when we traded and shower walls were in great condition.
