Mine were installed in the railings that came on the Crusader. Grant you there isn't much of a pitch, but I haven't had any problem with water puddling on the toppers.
The installer must be careful on the patio side, the arms of the awning come VERY close to the arms holding the topper. So make sure you extend your slide after the topper is installed, THEN extend your awning making double sure the arm of the awning does not come in contact with the arm on the slide.

Yeah only have two slides and there on the left side of my RV I don't have an awning on that side so I should be OK it's just a matter of having them order and install the brackets it should be a very simple installation .

We loved the toppers on the old trailer, so we had them installed on our Crusader 315RST. We originally didn't install them on our last trailer, and they collected all kids of stuff, water, critters, etc. I used a blower to clean off the slides, but if it is raining, that is rather difficult.
They make a BIG difference. Clean, dry, and cooler (keeps the sun off the top of the slide).
For Fred H. do you have any pictures of how you use the pool noodle to stop the flapping in the wind? I'm sure it also helps keep the water from building up on the topper.
Thanks!

Here are 3 pictures of the toppers on my rig.
We do get pooling of water on the back slide. Not really a big deal. After a big rain I sometimes run the slide in.
We have been out in some very strong wind and they don't flap, or at least I don't notice.

Looks good I am in the process of getting the ball rolling not sure if I want the slide toppers with the metal cover that keeps them from sun exposure or if it's worth the extra cost. What brand did you have installed?

The toppers that I have did have the metal cover on them but my dealer took them off as they did not sit right. They are dometic.

I have the dometic toppers with the metal covers and don't have any issues with them. They are a little pricey but i like the look much better. I do get pooling of water on the long slide if a heavy rain just run in the slide and all is well. Love the benefits would not be without them.

Got the ball rolling today local dealer is ordering my slide toppers ordered black hardware with gray fabric. Didn’t want black or white since black gets hot and white gets dirty easily hopefully the gray will be a happy medium. Ordered the carefree brand that’s what I had on my Keystone RV seemed to work just fine.

Toppers have been on sale at CW for some time now, I purchased one and installed it myself. Not to bad of a project. The sales info states that it does not come with the awning rail, well mine did. The drip rail on the Vengeance did not include the slot for the awning or topper.

Yea my unit sits at a storage facility when not in use so I can’t work on it there otherwise I would put it in my self. Either way it’s money well spent walking on the roof in the rain is not a good idea should have had them installed when I purchased the unit but you live and learn.

Mine sits at a storage site also, and that's the only place I do work on it. Can't take it into my condo area. I just take a generator if needed to work. And my tools of course

Installed super happy, did not take long to install dealer had them both up & tested in less than 2hrs. They installed a new track on the larger slide to get the correct pitch, small bedroom slide they used the one installed by Prime Time worked just fine.

I think you will like them a lot. It will keep you coach cleaner, dryer, and cooler in summer.

Thanks.. Yea I will make life simpler indeed no need to climb onto the roof to dry the slides off/check for any fallen debris. Will use my rig in a few weeks it’s just one less thing I need to worry about when packing up.

Esmoglo those really look nice. Now I'm going to have to get some on the crusader too. Did you have your dealer install?

I'm 68 and walk roofs and climb ladders as little as possible. Old bones take too long to heal.

That's indeed a good idea. Saw someone last year fall off a 5th wheel and it was not good at all. Work smarter not harder I say

Yea local dealer ordered them based on my measurements and installed them it was about 1K for both installed. Parts were about $700 for what I wanted installation was $300 so it wasn't that bad I can't complain.

Having the higher rail will be a definite help. I wish mine was installed with one. It will stop pooling on the topper.
