ES_FR,

Crusader is currently in the shop at McGeorges RV in Ashland, VA. They’re taking care of it. Waiting on reply from cap manufacturer as once they started it was worse than expected as clear coat is just flaking off now. Going to have be stripped and reprimed is what they’re saying so the estimate needs to be revised. Haven’t heard anything further on that since last week. Thanks for reaching out.

Picked it up from dealer. Looks good as new. Little disappointed the only did down to the decal and did not remove it and do under it. In the pics in the first post you can see the damaged area all the way to the decal which would leave me to believe it went under. The say it was fine We’ll see after some time I guess.

Under the decal is probably just fine. The damage occurs from the sun's UV days & the decal protects the gelcoat finish under it. Just keep a close eye on the paint/clearcoat edges around the decal. I've seen others done like this and the clearcoat may start to peel.

This is clearly still a problem going on in 2024 and nothing is being done about it now since i am not the first owner and it is outside of the 5 year warranty. They no longer have to fix this issue. I no longer stand behind Forest River as a brand

Guess I'm lucky.
The cap on my 2018 Tracer is good.
