Fifth wheel batteries

Does anyone have any suggestions about replacing my battery with a better one. The dealer put in a marine battery, but I heard you can use a different battery. I only have space for 1.

12v deep cycle 1 each.

Adding another battery is easy if you wanted to go with 2 6v batteries.

Marine vrs Maintenance Free

Also new to fifth wheel campers and RV batteries. Prior travel trailers had maintenance free batteries installed. The "new to me" fifth wheel came with two marine batteries that require checking water level.

Question is, Should I go ahead and replace them with maintenance free batteries (which is my preference) or does the installed batteries hold a charge longer?

I personally like the maintenance free batteries simply because I don't like to have to remember to check water levels. CRS causes this.
