Fire place

Just picked up my 292 bhs touring edition was wondering where the remote is for the fireplace I see that you can set a timer for the unit but you need a remote for it. It also will adjust the fan levels. Any ideas

What is the model number and manufacturer of your fireplace?

Some models have the remote; other models don't; and some that were supposed to have them didn't and should be provided as a "short ship" under warranty.

As covered in previous threads, PT does NOT usually provide remotes with the fireplace due to instances of remote interfering with other electronics in the TT (ie; tv, stereo). However, some who did get the remote have stated that they have not had any interference problems. So, I would contact PT (www.primetimerv.com) and see if they will send the remote.

I use my remote all the time and never had a problem with anything.
So far kicking the heat up has not rolled out my awning either.

That is a strange solution to a problem with component compatability. The factory shouldn't be using brands that interfere with one another.
Ours has had no issues.
Bunkman, simply call up your dealer and tell them to get you a remote. It should have come with the camper.

If you buy a "learning remote" you can have your wish.
Logitech make one I use on our home entertainment system because the DW has trouble figuring out how each component needs to be set to, say watch a DVD or switch back to TV.

I use this one in our living room. With the correct modules on the line cords it will even dim the lights.

Not the Harmony One. There are others that will.
