DND,
Hope you have the chance to meet Jeff. Really a nice guy and I feel good about the integrity of the company after meeting him.
Congrats on your new 325! Enjoy!

New Crusader 295RST owner as of tomorrow if the creek don't rise. We're signing the papers at 10:00 and we'll pick it up next week...

DW and I are pretty excited...

Let us know how the unit is once you take delivery.

We placed our order back in the third week of Jan and ours is supposed to leave the dispatch yard at the factory by weeks end. We are patiently (or not so) waiting.

Just returned from the dealer. They let us test drive it and run it across the scales before our final decision. Towed quite nicely and we are smitten with it. Bottom Line: We signed the papers and will return next Tuesday for PDI and a trip home...

First trip will be to Blanco SP mid-April if we can wait that long...

@HouSug13: Howdy!!

We're pulling with a 2012 Ford F250 XLT 6.7L Diesel... Very pleasant on the interstate, bumpy side roads etc. We already had airbags, so we pumped to 30 lbs for the test pull. I'm sure the airbags are not necessary with this unit; but we used them since they were there. Absolutely no chucking, swaying or porpoising issues during the test drive.

During the 45 minute test pull, we put it under every driving condition we could envision; highway, back roads, hills, tight turns etc; then we put it on the scales to check GVWR, GAWR etc. It passed all our standards with ease. The rig was everything we hoped it would be in terms of comfort in the cockpit... We're fortunate to work with a dealer who actually recommends a test drive before commitment.

The unit's fit/finish and overall profile were well above expectations. I spent about 10 minutes underneath checking for corrosion (superficial surface rust only), then we took about 40 minutes inspecting and operationally checking systems, features etc. Very happy with time well spent. Now to wait until Tuesday...

Thanks! We are considering this unit but haven't purchased the truck yet. I assumed an F250 would be best but I am not sure about getting Diesel.

We went back and forth on the gas vs. diesel thing. I initially considered the 6.2 V8 gasser which is a fine engine, but the more I studied the 6.7L, the more we became convinced. Very happy thus far. We get about 19mpg unhitched; yet to be determined pulling over a distance... It works well for us.

Best of luck in your decision.

Well we just signed the papers today for a new Prime Time Crusader 295RST. Champagne color. VERY HAPPY!. Much more room now. Walk through is scheduled for next week but I won't take possesion until late April. We have a seasonal site up in North West NJ and we will bring it there then. Gives me time to find the correct truck. The F250 is my choice but I would like to see if I can find a pre-owned one before plopping down more big bucks! Can't wait!

Congratulations!!

We purchased our 2012 F-250 (with 50K miles) as a Ford certified vehicle warranted bumper to bumper to 125K miles. Almost went with a certified 2011 F-350 dually, but it would have been overkill. Very happy with our choice.

Good luck and let us know if you plan a Texas trip...

Hi All. Quick question. I am looking at two different F250's that are 2012 leftovers. One is an XL with a 3.73 gear ratio the other is an XLT but the ratio is 3.55. I understand the 3.73 is better for towing but how much difference would you thinbk there would be? I purchased a 295RST dry weight is 8800 pounds. They both have 8 foot boxes. (I would have preferred the shorter bed but there were no leftovers in that size.
Thanks for any advice!
