Might be the 2014s come with the new warranty. I know they added some new features including a battery kill switch. We're having the dealer install one as they complete the warranty work.

Haven't been pressing the service folks as we won't need it again for another couple of weeks and we have a pretty good dealer working the issues in concert with PT.

We're itching to get it on the road again... Towing it is half the fun, oddly enough. Can't really say that about our previous tow-alongs...

Unless it's changed: Forest River in general does offer a 2nd year warranty. PrimeTime specifically does not (except on the Sanibel where it's standard). There is no different PrimeTime manual.

So..i guess.. I will try contacting Forest River ...My next thought..who uses air bags on their truck when towing a 5th wheel .and does it help smooth out the ride..i can get extra leaf springs installed for $240..

Dretired I have been following the forum on towing and hitches and have learned a lot there. Never knew how much I didn't know.

I can see that I wasn't clear. Unless its changed, you do not have the option of getting a second year warranty from the manufacturer.

We have airbags and, as result, there is a noticeable improvement in the ride. We usually run 30 to 35 lbs. when towing and 5 lbs. or so unhitched.

Because I have my 08 F150 leveled, I purchased some Hellwig helper springs to keep my truck level while towing and they work great! They install with four Ubolts and some hardware, only took me 30 min for both. I decided against airbags due to potential leaks etc.

Hi all! We traded in our 2013 Kodiak 279rbsl (purchased 5/12) for the 2013 Tracer 3150 on Thanksgiving weekend 2012. Kinda got hit over the hit with the trade, but still feel we made the right choice. We've already made 70% if the mods we wanted to & took it to a local Rv resort last Saturday. Love the outdoor kitchen the best!

Took delivery of our LaCrosse 318bhs TE few weeks ago. We couldn't be happier with the trailer... the dealer however left A LOT to be desired. Although the OTD price for it and the support/customer service on this forum hopefully will make up for it.

Just traded in our 2011 Surveyor SV294 for a 2014 Tracer 3150BHD-TE and we love the new Tracer. Definitely a step up from the Surveyor.

I had air bags on a truck I traded in last fall. The firestone air bags I put on it were awsum! Way better ride for sure. Then when your not hauling you dont have that hard ride with a extra leaf. You just let the air out to 10 lbs. Never leak a pound of air. I have the extra leaf on my work truck and when its empty the ride sucks. So I keep 3 sand bags 240 lbs. to smooth out the ride.

Very pleased. Small discrepancies during the maiden voyage; nothing big... Outstanding customer support from PT. Heading out Friday for our second trip over the Memorial Holiday weekend.

Happy camping!
