I see a 2014 out there for $32K and a new one is $38K 2017, so will go used since the value on these things tank anyway. We only do 30-40 nights per year and just the wife and I.
Too bad you are so far away - ours is a 2014 Crusader 325RES Touring Edition - with slide toppers - very nice unit but we are looking at a Montana model now

will probably be trading it in soon

I was looking at a Montana High Country 305rl but most dealers are selling them for $$50K and won't negotiate much. I don't want to spend that much as they lose value too fast, our budget is Cash and I won't spend anymore than $20-$27K all In

Yeah issue I have with my unit is they want to sell me the used Crusader for top of Retail and low ball me on the Rockwood Roo 23ikss, so I am trying to find a dealer who will get close to where I want to be. It just sucks that these things do not hold any residual value and I don't want a loan. My rule no rule lots of fun, if there is a loan, less fun bc I get upset when we are not using it.

Yeah the customer always loses on trade...the dealer always hits you hard

They try to play numbers by showing you pay more on new one and make it look like you are making out on your trade but we know that is all smoke and mirrors

Bottom line out the door matters

Our dealer included a free pressurized leak test & re-caulking, adjusted the slide-out & awning tracking, replaced the battery & CO2 detector, etc. Since we bought used we replaced the stock tires & mattress before our first trip.

We camped for 3 seasons without any serious issues but recently replaced the 8.0 Dometic RV fridge with a $300 Whirlpool 11.8 residential w/$100 inverter & 2nd battery. Love the extra fridge space & having the propane OFF while traveling... I'd definitely buy another PT product but our next RV will likely be a MH...

I thought dealers were required to replace the mattress before selling but apparently this is not the case I guess

in a short time, we will be owners of a new 2016 PT Tracer 255AIR. have done the PDI and waiting for things to be fixed before we pick it up.
we're moving from owning a Rockwood Roo Hybrid TT for over 10 years.

we've been retired over 2 years and decided to move to a conventional TT for 2-3 month trips in the wintertime.
our Roo isn't the best for that type of traveling. i'm going to miss sleeping under canvas but the DW will be happy with a walkaround bed that's made up all the time.

we got an excellent price on the trailer, especially for the West Coast. so far, the dealer, Open Road RV, has been good. very thorough PDI with no rushing us.
very impressed with the Tracer Air, for the price. lots of upgrades normally not found in a TT at this price.

I guess we'll be joining the ranks of the few, the proud, the Spartan owners...doesn't seem to be too many, but thats ok. We are picking up our 2016 Spartan 1242X next Monday, 4/24. Kind of mixed emotions, we love our XLR Hyperlite 27HFS but we are anxious to step up to this new (to us) baby!
