Just purchased Crusader 31.5 RST

Wife and I are getting excited about picking up out Crusader 5th wheeler. We have been looking for over 6 months for the rv that had what we wanted. This is our first 5th wheeler and was wondering if there are any other owners out there that have a 31.5 RST and if so how do they like it.

Hi Spikes!

Not the same as yours but the 337QBH. Picked it up in July. So far really enjoying it. Just wished the under awning lights were dimmable and color change like the ones I added to my old TT. Some minor new trailer stuff to deal with but otherwise pretty good quality.

Welcome from Arkansas. Hope you enjoy your new rv. The quest is part of the fun and it was hard for us to quit looking.

Hi, we have a 2016 315 RST. It is a great coach. Downsized somewhat from a 320 RLT model which was probably 37 ft. The 315 was an adjustment slightly ( going to a coach about three ft shorter but the layout and design are really nice as is the auto leveling. The theater seats are what sold for my wife and fireplace. Overall this has been a great coach for us. My second Primetime unit. Good luck, hope you guys enjoy it.

Crusader 424

Thank you for your response. My wife was sold on the same 2 things. Chairs and the fireplace. Also she wanted the bed as the slide out instead of the wardrobe. Happy trails.

Congratulations and welcome! We have had ours for 16 months. Had a few minor problems, but overall, we love it. It is our third Prime Time RV and we have liked all of them.

This forum is great to get questions answered, find best practices, etc. I hope you enjoy you Crusader as much as we do.

Crusader Feedback

Great Coach. Had ours 2-years. We had viscous nose cap fade within the first year. It was painted and looks okay but it was disappointing. The refrigerator quit working but a control panel replacement fixed it. Took it to Las Vegas in the summer and had to add AC in the bedroom. One unit will not cool things down.
On the plus side is the layout, which is the reson to buy it.
Good Luck with yours.

Bought our 315 about a year and a half ago. Spent 6 weeks in Texas and several trips last summer to the Colorado mountains. Biggest complaint would be the trim pieces that have fallen off (inside) and the drawer latches. Most everything else has been good and all of those items are repaired without a big hassle. Love the auto leveling. Pulls great, rides much better than our old Montana. Please research the tires on these sites. You'll find that replacing those "Blow Maxes" sooner than later is a very good/safe idea. I have added a rear view camera, a TPMS system, and changed out the DVD player, (POC) with a Sony that has Roku, and will play MP4 movies on USB flash drives and both Blue Ray and Regular DVD's. We love it. We're very comfortable for extended stays.

All good information. What camera system and TPMS did you go with and any regrets with that choice? Thanks

EEZ Tire TPMS. Furion rear view camera. FOS48TA-BL with Furion camera holder. TPMS has flow through sensors. Had to replace all valve stems with steel stems that would not flex. Works great since that change. Had one incident with a cracked stem, but system alerted me to the problem in time for me to get where I could get it fixed without tire damage or breakdown.
Furion backup camera works well. I double hitch with a boat locally and helps me see the boat and either side. Without the boat on I can see if someone is coming up on me before I change lanes etc. Detail at night is not great, but you can see the lights. I don't travel in the dark much so not a big problem.
Only real issue is, add a GPS unit, a backup camera screen, ( I went smaller) and the TPMS screen, and the dash on my Chevy pickup is pretty full of stuff. TPMS runs on it's own battery, but GPS and Backup require plug ins.
Have gone years without all this stuff, but now that I have these units, I wouldn't be without any of them.

Forgot, biggest reason for EEZ Tire TPMS is it has the signal strength without a booster for a long rig. Made for Semi's so works well on long Fifth wheels. I never lose the signal. A little bit of a pain to set up, but once going requires nothing. Also has disconnect for use without the trailer on, and motion sensor on and off. Saves the battery life, but turns on when you get in.

Love my 2017 315rst. Got it March of this year. Had a few minor problems with it so far but all have been replaced under warranty no questions asked.

320RLT was in our sights when we first looked at Crusaders but they dropped it when we were finally in buying mode and we got the 325RES model - very nice also
