Lacrosse 301RLS Bedroom Hatch

We recently bought a new 2012 Lacrosse 301RLS and find the bedroom is quite dark (during the day). We wondered about adding a roof vent/hatch but when I was on the Prime Time website a few days ago, I was looking at the 360 Virtual Tours and noticed that the Lacrosse 301RLS actually has one. There's no date on this video so I don't know if it's a 2011, 12, or 13.

Can any 301RLS owners confirm if they have one with a hatch and what year their Lacrosse is.

Thanks
Bob

I have a 2012 301 RLS and I do have a roof vent in my bedroom. I don't know if this was part of an accessory package on the trailer or not though.

Interesting. Mine is a "Touring Edition" special package with $4500 of extras included for FREE. Wonder if they dropped the hatch to save costs?

Did you order the bedroom hatch separately or was it "just there" when you got it?

@RV Guy: Is the roof structure on all 301RLS trailers the same so would the neccessary joists/struts be available for a hatch to be retrofitted? My wife REALLY wants one.

Thanks

Bob

Our 2011 301 RLS has a bedroom roof vent included. As a matter in fact we installed a curtain on it to darken the bedroom for daytime naps. We also added battery operated LED lights in the closets to brighten them up.

Mine is also a touring addition and the vent was already there. We also have a curtain across ours to darken the room.

Bedroom Hatch

We have a 2012 301RLS purchased in 2011, therefore, it was one of the first 2012's. It has a hatch in the bedroom, your unit should have a hatch. It has been missed by QC. You should have your dealer install one under warranty.
I could not believe anyone who would say it was an option, it is light, but a more beneficial reason for one in the bedroom is the circulation of air.

I would contact Prime Time and get their response which should be positive and then approach the dealer.

Thanks. I've emailed PT about this and hope to hear from them soon.

hatch dropped

PT replied and said the bedroom hatch has been dropped and the roof structure changed. They didn't give reason or date of change.

Mine says Oct 2011 on the VIN label but many bought in components have Nov and Dec 2011 manufactured dates.

Our 2011 model has the vent installed also. We use one of those insulated square pillows if it is too bright. This vent would also be useful if a second AC is ever needed.

Our Lacrosse is a 2011 that purchased in 2010 and it has the bedroom vent in it. It is the Touring Edition if that makes any difference. For us, we have never used it and have had one of those padded coushions in it ever since we have got it. I have also installed those outside covers on all 4 of our ceiling vents. You will love your Lacrosse.
