Leaking Lacrosse?

I have a 2011 Lacrosse 296BHS that I bought new in June 2010. Never have I had any issues with water penetration. This weekend though we were spending the weekend at a local lake and had a round of storms roll through, dumping almost 3 inches of rain over the course of about 4 hours with 30-40 mph winds. My kids in the bunk area said the rear cargo door leaked enough water to dampen the sheets to the bottom bunk, but what concerned me the most was the floor next to the curb side queen bed. The entire tile area was covered with water and it soaked my carpet where the master bed room meets the carpet by the couch on the slide. At first I chalked it up to the driving force of the wind, but it seems I had water penetrate on both sides of the trailer. I see no moisture on the walls, ceiling, or even in the front storage compartment which is directly under my queen bed. Anyone have any incite to this or is it just a freak storm?

Certainly, driving winds can cause a unit to leak unexpectedly, but I wouldn't take any chances. Please have a thorough inspection performed on your LaCrosse. It's very possible after 2.5 years that you could have some deterioration of seals in different places - and some of these potential problem areas are not always easy to spot. If you are unable to find anything visually, you might consider taking your unit to a dealer who has a "Seal Tech" machine - this is a pressurizing device that helps dealers find seal voids and leaks by pressurizing your unit and spray testing exterior openings and moldings.

If our service folks can be of assistance, don't hesitate to contact us thru our web site.
