Lippert Hydraulic Kitchen Slide

My 2015 Sanibel 3901 Kitchen slide has just tore my kitchen floor inlaid. It's a heavy slide having the residential refrigerator, stove and loaded pantry. Has anyone had this problem and how was it repaired? Adjusted? Meanwhile I sent an Email to PT today, waiting for a response. Thank you to anyone with helpful info-

My large heavy slide put a little slice in our floor once. I used a little crazy glue to repair the cut. Can hardly tell! I've since had the slide adjusted and the mechanism was changed from rollers to a glide bar style running the entire length of the slide.

Due do their size & weight they're bound to need frequent adjustments especially from the jostling & bouncing they get when traveling down the road.

I use a thin 1/4" plastic cutting board and tape it to the floor over the damaged area to keep the slide from causing any more damage. I do this all the time when we travel because you never know when it will go "out of adjustment" & start bouncing on the floor again.

As background, you might want to have a look at the thread I initiated on this forum back on Sept. 8, 2015 - Sanibel Kitchen Slide-out Out of Alignment. We own a 2014 Sanibel 3501 that experienced the same issue that you are having. You will discover that we and several other Sanibel owners have had problems with their kitchen slideouts.

Lippert Hydraulic Kitchen Slide

Chesba88,

I too own a 2015 PT Sanibel 3901 like you, however, we have not had any issues with the Kitchen slide or for that matter any of the other 4 slides. I saw the original post that was referenced in one of the above responses, and remember some of the comments that were brought up. The two recommendations that I remember from that discussion and that I try to always follow are:

1) Keep up with regular lubrication maintenance on each slide. I use a silicon spray that is made for these slides.

2) When putting out or bringing in the slide, keep the rocker arm pressed continuously until the full cycle (open or close) is complete. This will hopefully ensure the tracks are synchronized and don't get out of alignment.

I am very interested in your post and hope you can post a picture if possible. Thanks for alerting us to this issue.
