I would think they can give him something for the hassle. Maybe a warranty extension?

In the long run, they may have done him a favor. Imagine he never took his TT to Primetime and learned of this issue. Imagine, instead, that he had an accident and the insurance company refused to pay because it wasn't the TT they thought they'd insured. Or imagine he went to sell it and the buyer realized the TT's VIN wasn't the one on the title.

In the long run, he may have ended up with even more of an issue than he's had so far.

I am not expecting jack crap from anyone really, would be nice if they gave a good gesture to me for all the BS they have put me through, I had to cancel one trip to Florida for a little winter getaway, not a lot I can do to get that back. So far it seems I will get my camper back and that will be that. I have calmed down from the initial rage and will see what happens. I am supposed to be getting a call from who I believe to be the president of Prime Time Monday. I am glad the issue has come to light now instead of when I tried to trade it in or sell it and the title does not match. I would settle for a free 2 year extended warranty or something simple like that, a second ac would have been great but as of this morning talking with the head of service, they fixed it, adjusted a slide and as soon as it returns from the rain bay it will be scheduled for delivery back to me. IT is what it is, it has opened my eye about a lot of things and I will be much more careful when making purchase going forward. Thanks for the support from everyone and I hope to never have to tell or read another story like that in my life. I will post an update when my camper is safe and sound in my shed.

HOpefully you can get out use it soon...thats what is important.
unfortunately, the root of all this BS is the dealer screw up and they no longer exist to try to make some kind of gesture. The factory mistake of "misplacing" the camper is due to the dealer's paperwork error. SO the factory really doesnt have to make any ammends, they can blame the dealer. But one would hope for public relations they could do something.
I can say this, from now on I will be checking VIN's on vehicles I purchase and I will be checking all my vehicles I currently have.
Good luck & happy trails...eventually...

And maybe to check what they have NOW!

I got paranoid, so I just went out and matched all my VIN's with my purchase paperwork and insurance for my 3 vehicles and my Micro-Lite, and guess what?

My insurance company has a typo in the VIN for my Micro Lite. They have a "Z" that should be a "2." I'll have to get that fixed.

Next step will be going to my lock box and verifying that all the Titles are OK.

Camper is scheduled for delivery back to me this week, got a call from PT and they offered to pay my seasonal site fee for me this year, I accepted and thanked then for the offer. All is well that ends well. I will post when my camper is safe and sound back on my property.

Wish someone would pay the $9000 for my seasonal in Fl!
That really was a nice offer and hope you enjoy. I bet when it comes back it is better than new.

Glad to hear it worked out for you! Nice to see they did the right thing, not all that common these days.

LARGE X.... mark off Fl. as a retirement place.. you can buy a pretty spot in Arkansas/Texas/Louisiana for $9000 a year.... but no pretty white sand or bikinis I guess.

Think of the money you saved not having to buy that new truck to pull that new trailer they were going to give. Thank you for the very interesting post.

Retired to the southern coast of NC. Have the beach and a slip for the boat to fish the Atlantic. Still like the bikinis but have not pulled on our regular site in FL for next year. Thinking of more than 1 place next winter.

What an ordeal. It's good to see it all coming to an end. And a nice goodwill gesture in the end.

You're in the high rent district. My yearly rate is $3600 and I can see the golf course out my back window.

Ya. I see it now. He has a flat tire on camper. Law officer stops to help. Runs his plate. That will be another long thread. Lol

Glad all is working out for the best.

Either way, I'd prefer a condo. Least you have something of value to shoe for your outlay.
