New to the site and FR

Hello, I am new to this site and appears to be a fantastic place to get info. We are also new to the FR products. We just bought a 2011 Crusader 290RLT (our first 5th wheel). Been out in it once and so far so good. Anybody out there got advice (good or bad) about using this unit.

Congrats on the new camper, I think you will really enjoy it.
But as with all new campers, go over it very carefully, and look for any spots that may not have been sealed properly, where moisture may get in, as moisture is the killer of these new units. I would also check that all of the mounting bolts on the axles are tight, and that the wheel bearings have been well greased, if you have the 'easy-lube' hubs.
Other than that, just keep an eye on things while you enjoy it. The campers they make these days really are very nice.

Welcome...to the forum....and congratulations on the new unit. This time of year is a great time to purchase a new unit and get a great price. Although it is tough to buy a new unit and then wait for spring...at least here in the north. Pict's are always appreciated here as well.

Thanks!

Hey, thanks for all the good welcomes and comments. I will deffinately go over it with a fine tooth comb. Good advice. We are going to use it this weekend (Veterans Day) and go play a little golf at Laura S. Walker state park in Waycross, GA.

Welcome AeroScout!
Seems to be some confusion about the location of the handle to pull when draining the galley waste tank. It is not located by the docking station but outside under the skirting in front of the axles. Make sure it is closed before you run water in the kitchen sink or you will get a bath when removing the sewer dump cap. I have the same model so feel free to contact me with any specific questions you may have.
