Norcold #2118SS door flap problems.

I have a 2017 Prime time Spartan Toy hauler. I used it one time and the Norcold Refrigerator door does not close properly. The flap drags on the bottom and it will not pivot when closing the door. The flap is on the left door and flap pivots to allow right door to seal. I must manually turn the flap.

Took to dealer twice now and they say they are not sure what the problem is. They replaced flap and it still does it. Any ideas. I am due take it back in for more warranty work and will insist it be fixed. Just wondering if this an isolated incident or if it is a problem others have. MG

I’m dealing with a cooling issue on my PolarMax 2118SS refrigerator and in my research others have the problem you are describing and recommend removing the Made in the USA sticker that is at the bottom. It apparently has a tendency to hang up the flap.

Thank you for responding. I have had it back to the dealer once for repair. It appears they took off the sticker the first time and left some scratches in the plastic. It seems like the flap may be too long. Its going back in on the 16th of July. Maybe they can fix it then. Thank you for responding. MG

I spoke to a fellow Spartan owner and they said they had to put a penny under something to raise the phone up in order to make it work properly or something.

Just an update on door flap issue. I left the dealer yesterday after a wonderful 6 hour wait with the information that they would be requesting a complete replacement of the refrigerator. Thanks for those that assisted me in this matter. Happy camping MG

Keep on them about that "information". Dealers are notorious for not contacting the manufacturer, not ordering parts in a timely manner(if at all) then blameing the delay on the manufacturer. You should give them about a week, call them to see what they say then call Prime Time to make sure they've filed a claim. If not, at least they'll pick up your issue & contact the dealer to find out what their plan of action is & possibly offer a solution for repair or get the replacement on its way.

Let us know how it goes. My refrigerator is having issues maintaining temps and swings wildly between mid 20’s to mid 40’s on warm days. It’s going to the dealer next week.
