Only 2 gripes with new Crusader 335BHS

only 2 so far, after having it out for the second time this wknd...#1..kitchen faucet does not extend far enough out towards the ctr. of the sinks, therefore when rinsing dishes etc...we get alot of splash to the back of the counter...will look into replacing.

#2.. the lack of antennas for the 2 built in stereos...little to no reception...need to look into that remedy.

Other than those 2...one awesome unit!!!!

#2 - Stereo reception is boosted by the same amplifier for the Tv's. Turn the amplifier on see if it makes a difference.

If it's like mine, the only antennae on the stereo is a little whip thing. It only picks up "local" stations. Here's what I suggest. Buy this "Channel Vision Coaxial Tap Splitter - 6DB Line Tap - 2 Way:Amazon:Electronics" and insert it in the line which comes out of the Winegard antenna amplifier control to your other TVs. Connect the "tap" side to your stereo where that little whip antenna is now. You'll have much better radio reception when the antennae booster is on. (No, you can't listen to the radio and cable-TV at the same time, but it's really easy to switch that booster on and off.)

I don't want to have to choose between the two, I don't at home...so there has to be a fix....bad design IMO. The Flagstaff I traded on this didn't have this issue...had an antenna on the roof..worked very well.

My amp. switch is "center" off, "left" cable and "right" air (or antenna) (or the other way around). Either way, left or right, should amplify the stereo signal. If not, something is not connected properly.

I'm having a similar problem with radio reception - the RCA soundbar SUCKS for radio reception, while the radio in the bedroom works great. I too have the on/off amp switch - made no difference. Tried it with the roof antenna up, down, amp on and off - didn't help. Pretty disappointing, depending on where we sit or if we're walking around, we get mediocre reception from all local stations, or no reception at all. RV Guy - is there a separate antenna for the RCA soundbar behind it or something?

My RCA sound bar had lots of issues including lousy radio reception. Took it back to the dealer who could not get it to work at all. They said RCA stopped making the sound bar so they wound up replacing it with a Phillips unit which works great..

I'll take some pics when it comes home from the dealer. They're taking care of some minor issues. Should have it home early next week... Oh yes: the Legend TV was also inoperative; it was replaced at the same time as the sound bar...

Still in love with the unit. Tows great and fits our needs perfectly. We've had several trailers. They all have 'break-in' issues. Once resolved, life is good...

My RCA sound is also terrible with radio reception. Whether the booster is on or not. Luckily the bedroom radio which controls the outside speakers works fine.

Apart from radio reception the sound bat seems fine.

Am I correct to assume there is no whip antenna on the roof for radio? If not, why?

Would someone please pull the unit out and look at the back if it? I think you'll find that there's just a little wire antennae back there. It's not connected to the roof top antennae (and booster) I don't think. I've posted instructions here before on how to fix that. Let me know if anyone is interested this time.
