Popping Noise Sanibel 3500

This morning I went to move the trailer and when raising the front levelers on the LCI 6 point system, I heard a loud popping noise. I have never heard this before and was wondering if the extreme cold weather affected the leveling system. Has anyone else experienced this? I have read and experienced noise form the system, while camping before, but never when lifting to place on truck. I may be a little paranoid because I recently had the unit repaired for upper flex issue. Hopefully, it is weather (cold) related and not to the latest repair. Awaiting what others have experienced or any comments related to this.

If you have the system that has the oil pump in the front of the unit, it may have air in the lines and cylinders. The coach will pop when the temperature changes because the air allows movement in the cylinders.

How do you get the air out of the lines. I also have a 3500 Sanibel, not sure how much fluid to use. There isn't a fill line that I can see.

Poppiing Noise

For what it's worth, I have a 2014 Sanibel 3500 and experienced the same thing when the weather gets cold. Scared me to death the first time it happened. Have not figured out the cause to date.

Most like associated with the hydraulics for the leveling system. Moved my unit yesterday (getting ready to leave this cold) and all was quiet. I do believe it is temp related. It occurred when the temp was low 40's and yesterday it was mid 50's. Still keeping an ear for it.

There is a warning on that. They say 30 degrees through. It say's it could cause incontinence in the operation, nothing to worry about. Also the person who can't find the fill line. Should be marked on the tank somewhere, also your jacks have to be fully retracted before you measure. My mark is about the 3/4 of the tank to be full. Hope that helps you out a little.....Safe travels.. Ps that additive may help from caterpillar. Suck out 1/4 of the tank with a turkey baster, and fill it back to the fill line, should help with the popping noise to. It changes the consistency of the ATF fluid. Just leave a couple of inches for any expansion.

Thanks Master Chief. I believe you are right because it only did it during a trip where we were experiencing temps in the mid 20's. Hasn't happened since.
