Primetime front cap

Have 2016 prime time 1032.
Have a problem with front Cap that is not explainable
at this time. Looks to me like stress cracks at a crease
on the drivers side about eye level. No impact area seen.
Have not contacted Primetime yet. Expected dealer to do so.
This appeared after the jell coat was applied back in Feb.
Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Wow....never seen that before. Of you paint between the lines, you'll have a nice mountain range scene.

Seriously, if you don't get a prompt answer from your dealer, contact PT directly.

What do you mean by "gel coat was applied". Gel coat is done as the first layer in the mold when cap is made. Was it repaired some where? If so the repair has failed. Not uncommon. Google cracked gel coat.

Front cap

This is a brand new unit. No repairs done.
The term Jell coat was used by our dealer.
It is a coating that is used to help reduce fading
from the suns UV rays. I was just saying the defect
was noticed after this process was done.

I was able to pick up decals to match what I have on front and
cover this area. I argued with the dealer a few times but did not
contact Prime Time inc. I'm satisfied with results but the dealer
I bought the unit from (General RV in Wayland MI) is off my list.

Yep!
Dealer told me a bird hit it and it would be an
insurance claim. I think the bird was a fork lift that they used
to move the units around. When we picked it up! The units were
so close on the lot that we could not open the door. Problem is
we did not notice until we had it home.

Yeah, General RV in Utah isn't too impressive either.

Google magicezy They have a range of colors it is a gel coat to cover them. It might help, I used it on a white cap worked well and it matched....

I have a 2014 Primetime Spartan 1032. My front cap was showing considerable fading that could not be polished out and some spider cracks. My dealer informed me that PT had a recall on the front cap...and they replaced my entire front cap with a new one, new graphics and all, at zero cost to me.
