refrigerator issues on 3150BH

We purchased a slightly used 3150BH last fall, and are trying to work out some issues with it. The refrigerator will not work most of the time in electric mode. I have never seen one without a thermostat switch such as this. All it has is a little clip that attaches to the metal in the back. What happens is that we hook electric to the camper at home 24 hours before departure and it starts to cool. When we arrive at campsite, it may or may not work. Always stops working within first day. It has electric power on it and makes a buzzing sound, but does nothing. We are camping all week here in east Texas now without a refrigerator. Really like the camper, just want to get things like this straightened out. Any help would be appreciated, thanks...

Are the lights at the top of the unit on? Did yoiu try running it on propane (gas) only to see if it gets cold?

Yes, we have tried propane and electric. All of the lights are working properly, we just do not have the results you should have. I just walked into the camper to check it, it is not cooling at all. Thanks for the help

Sound like the refrigerator control board. Do you smell an ammonia smell.? Does it fire up when in gas mode? Is a domestic or norcold?

You have to take off the back panel and feel to bottom return tube to see if it heats up . Look at the bottom of the outside compartment to see if there is any green crystals or residue .if there's no heat then you can check the fuse on the control board.

One more problem it could be is the thermistor which would need to be tested. Good luck.

Here are some troubleshooting manuals and a tutorial on how it all works.
The buzzing could be from a bad relay.
