Good luck on your trip and keep us posted on how things are going.
Let me know what you find out on the grey/galley tank valve. Mine has always seemed a little stiff, but has always worked.

tbritt - there's a screw that holds the bulb seal in it's track at the top. My guess is the bulb seal pulled thru the head of the screw allowing it to slide down. If so, that's an easy fix - sorry for the inconvenience, though.

Thanks RV guy for getting back....long time no talk to, but no screw or hole where it may have pulled out...I did see the one at the end of the blub seal across the top. What size and type do I need to get?

Well that might explain it - sorry for missing it. Before I go and do something crazy, is this for your little bedroom slide or the large living room slide? I want to make sure.

Use a 1" #8 screw - slide the bulb seal all the way up in the track so that it's snug against the horizontal bulb seal - push the bulb down just a little at the top to expose the backside of the inner part of the bulb and run the screw thru the backside of the bulb through the retainer and into the track. Don't overtighten as that's when the head often will pull thru the rubber. Nothing to seal after installing the screw as it's going thru two layers or rubber and putty under the extrusion.
Good luck and sorry for the inconvenience. Have a great holiday.

I had that same problem at the front of my bedroom slide. I removed the seal, then kind of re-shaped it by squeezing the flat back side. Not enough to put a crease in it, but just a little bow. I reattached the seal and haven't had a problem with it since.
I guess the screw is a better idea.
Thanks for sharing the pic. Got anymore?
