Slide Awning Quote

We got a side awning quote of $1575 Installed for our new Tracer 3150bhd. Does that sound high to anyone else? Also got a quote of $200 to have 3 MaxxAir vent covers installed. Yes I know vent covers are easy to install but due to some heath issues the DW does not want me on any roof.

May be wise to get another quote. Go on-line and check out what Camping World would charge you and go from there.

i got an A&E slide topper installed, for my 12' slideout, at CW.
i waited for a good sale on the topper and got it and installation, for around $500.
unless you have a really long slideout, that price sounds way too much.

I miss read your post--------

I went back and re-read your post. I thought you were talking about the big awning on the door side.

I got two slide out awnings and installed for $850.00 on a Rockwood 8285WS.

By all means, get another quote.

$1575!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The two toppers for my camper were less than $500 when installed at the factory. I know it is cheaper to do it there, but not THAT much cheaper.
Definitely get another quote!

Is there much of an advantage to having a slide awning? Ours doesn't have any and I was wondering if it is a worthwhile investment,we usually get out about 10 weekends a year,or is it more for slides that are left out in a seasonal setup?

We had the living roon slide topper (12' 6") and the bedroom topper replaced last fall for a total of about $800, including some repair work on the LR slide top seal.
