Slide seals

Anyone ever experienced this? It's where the cable from the slide meets the trailer. It's only happening on a few of them.

Guessing but it looks like an additional piece of rubber to reduce wear on the other seal. I would use some type of adhesive, RV Goop or similar to glue it to the other piece.
