Not all pt units have fabric under the slides. Have you looked under the slides on a 26bh or 2dbs? And whats under the jayco slide-out your looking at?

jkochmit1,
Sounds like your doing your homework! Both the Jayco and Primetime make good units.
Good hunting and do keep us posted.
RV shows...I get in trouble there $$$

Keep in mind the slide issue is only on specific models. I have a 290 rlt with the fabric under body and no tear issues. Hope I can still say that in another three years but so far so good.

thanks to everyone who has posted and provided insight. We decided to purchase the PT 26bh however the salesman and manager were awful. When asked for their best price they came back with full sticker price and an additional 2k for dealer prep, document fees and some other fees, and they said they could only do this price if I did not trade in my unit!!! When I called them out on this they became very rude and said take it or leave it. We left it and purchased the jayco 26bh with the same options for a couple thousand less at another dealer plus got 1k for our trade. We really wanted the primetime but there is only one dealer in our area that sells them so price shopping them wasn't practical. Once again all your input was greatly appreciated!!! I hope next purchase the primetime is a viable option as we were really leaning towards their model.

X2 welcome to stay.........course, nobody may talk to you again (just kidding) But, happy to hear that you're not completely sour on PT.....just a "dealer issue" and that's a shame.

We bought our 2014 Avenger 27RLS Touring Edition in October. On our first time camping in it we used the shower 3 times before we saw water dripping under the trailer. I opened the access panel on the front of the shower and found the drain was not connected to the shower pan drain. Any water that didn't fall into the pipe, fell on top of the black water tank and ran into the enclosed belly. The owner of the dealership went ballistic on his service department when we carried the trailer back to him. Be sure to check EVERYTHING no matter which one you buy. We never thought about the drains not being connected. They took very good care of us and dried out very well.
