Took me about 45 min to install. The OE bumpers will pull out by hand. To install the Timbrens you'll have jack the frame an inch or so and insert an appropriately sized piece of wood between the axle and the lower end of the Timbren. When you lower the truck you're effectively using its weight to push the Timbren into the bump stop receptacle. It helps to lube that end with a soap/water solution. Don't forget to jack it back up a bit and take the wood out. Installed there's about 7/8 inch clearance between the axle and the Timbren and I don't feel them in the lion's share of unloaded driving.
I suspect they won't affect the warranty but you'll probably get a different answer for every different dealer you might ask. I haven't asked but generally, the OEM has to prove that an aftermarket component caused a failure that would otherwise be covered.
