Thanks. The Mist boat ride is part of the frog rally package. I just have to remember to bring a few zip lock bads to keep things dry.

Pot Holes in Indiana? OH NO....

A Legend... That's not what my wife just called me ...
Where are you heading after you leave? Maybe we can meet someplace down the road after you leave and before I have to check-in.

We don't know where we'll go. The Captain of our Georgetown is waiting till she has visited with other FROGs before she tells me where to go. We are still Rookies at this RVing stuff.

IGGY:

We will also be spending Saturday night (6/29) in Erie, PA. We will be at the KOA. Is that where you will be? We could caravan to Bissell's the next day if you want.

Wasn't sure where in Erie we were staying buy the KOA sounds good.
Just made reservations for Saturday June 29th. We should arrive by 2-3 PM.
Here is a picture of my motorhome and Fiat car. I think it would be easy to find.
I will PM you a message..

From here to Bissell's is only 140 miles. So I figure we can leave by 9AM on Sunday morning and get there by 1 or 2PM considering we will have to cross the border. Expecting not much traffic being Sunday morning.

We are on the first (25-30June) group. Tried to stay until 2 July, but Bissell's said they did not have room. Would have liked to have convoyed in with you.

Yes sir, June 29 in Erie. We are looking forward to meeting you. We expect "Fire Works Over The Falls" to be a great event. It will be our first FROG event, but not our last. We are already booked for the FROG rally in Seaside, OR, Aug. 16-18.

We will be leaving here next Monday, 6/24. Currently adding to the lists and packing, packing, packing. Don't know where "she" thinks all this stuff will fit .

Bad news. Stopped in Abalene KOA and we had a bad storm with 55-60 mph winds.
A tree limb broke and fell on my Fiat and made some dents and scratched the paint. Seems the KOA insurance may cover the damage but not until I get home in late July. It is still drivable and could have been a lot worse.
Oh well......

I just want to comment on how cute that little red car looks behind that big rig! Sweet! Sorry to hear it was damaged, but glad it's still drivable until you get it repaired.

Bummer, Iggy, but I'm glad to hear that you can still drive it and that it missed your Georgetown. See you at the Falls!

Something to see in while in the Niagara area for the rally would be the Tall Ships Festival. They will be in St. Catharines on June 29-30. Seeing that we'll be in he area it might be a good side trip even though it is arrival day. I imagine they will also be travelling through the Welland Canal at that time. Here is a link to the web page: http://discover1812.com/page/st__cat...l_ships_visit_

Looks to be only about 10 miles from the campground, so there would be time after checkin to run over there. The tall ships are a beautiful sight. We saw them twice last year in Nova Scotia. It is fun to go walk on those big sailing vessels.

Yes it is about that far. I know the area well as I grew up there (I use the term grew up very loosely). If you know anything about the rock group "Rush" they have a song called Lakeside Park which is practically right there. This rally is like going home for me.

The Chautauqua Lake KOA looks like a very nice place to spend a few nights. We choose the Erie KOA as we are only spending the one night of 6/29.
We are leaving here on Monday 6/24 and plan on 4 nights in Dayton, OH to see the Air Force Museum and a few other sights. Perhaps we'll see you on the road to Niagara Falls.

We are Northbound for The First Setting at Fireworks. Parked tonight at Misty Mountain Camp Resort, Greenwood, VA. Nice facility. Sorry to hear about Iggy's little Italian toad getting hurt. On a lighter note Daisy will be happy to know that the water heater door has made the trip so far with us.
