Things may change but in previous years you signed up for the factory tours at the rally and they are free of course. The tours that have a cost are pretty much on a first come first served basis so if you want to go one of these sign up now. With the number of RVers they are expecting, I’m sure the tours will sell out fast. As Bob mentioned in a previous post, he’s already trying to add more spots for the Boat, Bison and BBQ tour.

Depending on where they assign you in the fairgrounds you MIGHT need a 50 to 30 amp adapter, extra lengths of water hose, and extra lengths of sewer hose.

With the large numbers of RVers that will be attending be prepared to stand in line during dinner service. There will be plenty of food but the lines will be long. Relax and strike up a conversation with those who are in line with you. One of the best benefits of this rally is meeting and making new friends. Not trying to insult anyone but I’m surprised many of the RV clubs, Cedar Creek, Cardinal, R-Pods, etc. want to be placed together. Most of these folks already know each other, don’t they want to make new friends even though they may own a different brand? After all, we are all FROGs.

FACT OF LIFE: there are railroad tracks that run alongside the fairgrounds and they blow their horns at three different grade crossings. These tracks are very active so be advised they sound twice as loud at night. By the third night of the rally you will hardly notice them.

Last year Bob set aside part of a building for a one day garage sale, so if you have anything RV related that you would like to get rid of, bring it.

The last two years, three days of the rally there was free ice cream. I hope that tradition continues this year.

DO THIS; when you sign in/register at the rally you will be given a welcome packet with your name badge and other information. Take the time to look at it, especially the times of the seminars and where they will be given. Bob always has some great seminars scheduled during the rally.

If you have any questions, this would be a good thread to ask them.

That was well stated Bob about the rv clubs. I couldn't agree more. Hey this year I won't be attending the rally as I bought a new rig again (sold the rpod and bought a surveyor TT) and decided to take a year off. Hoping this time I have the right rv that suits my needs for a few years at a minimum.

Had a great time the last two years with you and your wife and many others at this rally in the evenings when we would have informal get togethers and have a campfire with our camco little and big campfires. Great times were had.

Being members of some of the other clubs, like Oakman I find it really hard to understand why some insist on being parked together. We registered first thing as FROGs and intend to meet as many new friends as time allows and time and schedules permitting will visit club members too. Thank you Oakman, a very good reply, hope to meet in person soon.

The factory tours will be announced when you arrive at the rally, or during the dinner announcements that will tell you what days the sign up will be. Last year I think that they did it either sunday night dinner, or Monday morning breakfast.

as for the different clubs being parked by one another, some of us in the clubs have never met one another, besides talking to each other online and would like to get to know the people that we have been talking to and putting a face with a name. We want to meet everyone that we can, but kind of partial to our clubs/groups.

It's not 'Being members of some of the other clubs' that makes attendees want to be near folks that they have become very friendly with. We have made some very good friends and like to be near or next to them because we really enjoy being with them. In fact, we have become so friendly that we have in the past taken trips, and plan to take future trips with these folks apart from rallies. That doesn't mean that we avoid others who are at the rally. In fact, when we make new friends at the dinners or trips or where ever, we often invite them join us if we are getting together in the evening for some liquid refreshment.

Oh nuts. I was looking forward to your company at the campfires again Karl, we all had a lot of laughs that's for sure. I guess the important thing is you bought another Forest River product so perhaps next year you will come to Goshen again.

I'm going to set aside some time this year to find the Tiki Hut and say "hi." I'll even bring an extra beer or two.

F.R.O.G. International Rally

Thank you for all the valuable information on the Rally. Being newbie’s and this will be our first rally, we look forward to meeting all RVers, TT, Popups, etc. We purchased a used 2003 Sunseeker earlier this month and even though it is still cold here in N.E. Ohio, we are out in the rv cleaning, replacing things, updating etc. It was 13 degrees here this morning and we broke another record....Go away old man winter....

From what I have read it appears that having patience and don't be in a hurry attitude is the key....DH and I have been blessed to have traveled the world Internationally and we look forward to seeing our United States....thus the used rv.....hopefully, we will like the Sunseeker....but it will be nice to converse with other types of rv owners and see what is out there without a sales person pressuring you....plus, they have a better insight as to what works and what doesn't....

Thanks again for all of you who send helpful info, it is very much appreciated.

You will find that as you travel these WONDERFUL UNITED STATES, you will not find a better, more friendly group of people than those at the rally. They will become friends for the remainder of your lives.

I realize a lot of people on the form do not make it to the rally and a lot of people that come to the rally are not on the forum. But I think we should setup a time for just the forum members to get together and put a face with a name. Nothing long and drawn out, just a little gathering.
