Thank you to Oakman, Capt. Mike, and Iggy for the description and info on the "Amish Crack" subject! Donuts are my Cryptonite so I KNOW I will have to check this out while I am in Goshen!

Karen, you'll feel resistance starting to fade about the time you hit the Elkhart County line. The Force is strong.

The best donut you've ever eaten? Nothing, compared to these.

Wonder if they come in sugar free.

We had no intention to upgrade from our Microlite. At the Cedar Creek tour they were passing out these doughnuts. Now we own a CC. Just sayin.

Hey, enough broadcasting about the do***s. The more people that know about them the fewer do****s for the rest of us!!! You never know what could happen. The machine that makes them could get over worked and break down!!! Then what!! OMG!!

Speaking of cinnamon...

If Bob has the Amish Bake Sale available again this year I highly recommend buying the cinnamon buns. They are E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T. The bake sale is another great way to pack on the empty calories. Empty calories are in foods that are mouth-watering delicious and will NOT cause to you gain weight…why else would they call them “empty” calories? Actually eating goodies containing empty calories will probably cause you to lose weight.

If you didn’t get a chance to purchase one of the excellent optional tours during the rally, you can visit some of the great attractions in the area on your own. A great place to visit is the RV/Motorhome Hall of Fame Museum. It’s just 14 miles from the fairgrounds and the regular admission price is just $10, or $8 for seniors. In my opinion this is a “must see” for any RVer.

Shipshewana is another interesting little town to visit, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday when the HUGE Flea Market is open. Did I say HUGE, it is GINORMOUS. Just across the street from the flea market is the Hostetler’s Hudson Museum. They have an outstanding collection of Hudson automobiles ranging from turn of the century racing models to the final years in the 50’s and everything in between. Be sure to eat at the Blue Gate Restaurant in Shipshewana too.
