Herk could start his own thread in regards to "Alko /DexterSelf Adjusting Brakes and Axle wheel bearings" ,each time he tried to "Upgrade/Improve" his axles and brakes he ends up on a Rollback or Roadside Repair! The around the world trip to secure axles just for the Goshen Rally was unbelievable, now thier Brand New 5th wheel with the same issues is very Disheartening! Herk, most of your Axle issues happen in the "Central Zone" stay away from that location! Youroo! !

I have tried to get upgraded axles, but have hit a stone wall each time. They will need to be specially built for my camper. I investigated that with my old camper. It was going to take several months an I did not want to curb my planned trips.
I HAVE learned a lot about the subject though. The "hard way" unfortunately.
Maybe my truck is just too tall.
The DW wanted a travel trailer this time; maybe she was right … (as always)

So, Dexter sent a certified axle mechanic to my camper this morning and he took all 4 wheels apart and found both right side bearings with excessive play and the roadside repair guy failed to adjust the brake assembly.
All in all, thank you Dexter and Flagstaff for standing by their product and making sure I was safe and satisfied. They are covering the roadside ripoff 100% and the photo of the Sheriff’s department traffic control officer and the closed lane sealed the deal.
We will be traveling with Dave and Lori Orsini to the Rally!

i am so envious of all of you that are on your way! you'll have to tell us about your travels. some of you are coming a long ways. we're going to get the trailer ready tomorrow. it's about a 4 hour drive for us.
the latest weather forecast is saying rain monday through wednesday. something about the remnants of pacific hurricane Rita coming ashore. they are saying we will get a couple inches where we live. since the grand canyon is higher it may get a bit more. but those of us that live here will take all the rain we can get. our local air has been full of smoke for the last couple of days due to controlled burns out in the national forest.

Good question. Yes, same fuel station. And it was my first refuel after paying the RAM dealer in Colorado Springs $260 to replace both fuel filters (scheduled maintenance). We'll see how it goes today.
