dblr, that Eckley thing is about 50-60miles from the camp ground. There is a mine tour in Ashland Pa. , only about 20 miles away. It is the Pioneer Tunnel Coal Mine. Also the # 9 Mine museum in Langford Pa. app. 35 miles away. Other attractions, Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville Pa., Cabelas in Hamburg Pa., Roadside America in Shartlesville Pa..Just a few. There is a good coal and mining display at Knobles also.

Thanks for the other points of interest, also some folks might like the town of Centralia Pa. for some reason people like to see the area there.

Just for a update on folks trying to plan, the rates for next year have not been released yet but I was informed that the highest it could be per night would be $55 for a full hook up site which is what is on hold.

Took a day trip to Knoebels yesterday as our son is in visiting form New Mexico and he wanted to go so as any good parent we did, lol. Here are a few pictures just to share, it was also a doggie dive day there so lots of dogs and saw a lot of them going on some rides.

That sounds like fun! I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it this time (hope there is a next time). We are still nailing down plans to drive to Colorado with our new Apex in June or July. We have not tried Knoebels yet. We've been hitting Hershey a lot the past 2 years. We'll be there at the camping resort in a few weeks for the fall/Halloween festivities. The rally is still a possibility. I'll let my wife know about it.

To all that have registered, a email was sent from the campground regarding deposit due, that is for the sites that have not been booked yet by FROG members. If by chance you received it please take the time to check what site you have reserved as right now my list and the campground list does not totally agree, not that it is a problem because all the sites are close to the same in size and little if any shade, so please check and let me know either way if right or wrong. Thank you very much.

I just saw the email from lake glory. It listed us as site 36 not 23, I do not care, but we did pay the deposit already in August if that matters or not. I did get a receipt for the payment.

Stopped by Lake Glory while here for the Covered Bridge Festival this weekend, this years rate is $53 for full hook ups sites, so after questioning for next years rate which still has not been released on very good authority it will be $55 or even a little less, but only a buck or two. So for those on the fence due to cost I hope this helps.

DBLR,
Were you able to find out why the sites are different on your list versus the emailed confirmation we received from Lake Glory?
