It sure would be nice if the campground would get their act together and call about adding the extra day or 2 so we could plan our trip home. We have almost 1000 miles to travel and will need to make 2 overnight reservations.

Has anybody else got confirmation for extra days?

Not here, we asked for 1 day at the end. Then going into Delaware where we will spend July 4 before starting our drive back home.

I’m going to throw this out there. Gettysburg seems to be taking their sweet time letting us know what sites we are asigned to as well as if we can add extra days before and after. My suggestion is if they can’t handle a large group for a rally then maybe we should look for a new campground to host the rally. Anybody else?

It's the week before the 4th of July. At this point, I doubt there are any parks in the area that have enough open sites.

We called the campground and were told our request for extra days was confirmed. While it would be nice to know which site we will be on, in the end I'll take what I get.

CG called us finally a week or so ago and assigned us a spot so we could extend our stay. From what I understand the following week is the reenactment week of the battle. Thats why they had to do a lot of home work to get us ours days. Later RJD

I didn’t mean switching campgrounds this year but maybe next year. I just called and finally got thru after trying for two days. Site 81A and now have my extended days. They had to switch site numbers for me. But i guess it’s now correct. She is sending out emails today.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Saturday Gettysburg Battlefield Bus Tour - WAIT LIST - Deadline 4/1!!

For those who wanted to join the Saturday afternoon Gettysburg Battlefield Bus Tour and were unable to get tickets, we started up a waiting list for a possible second bus.

We were able to put a second bus on hold with the charter company until Monday 4/1.

This signup currently has 10 seats on it, we need for the total to be at an absolute minimum of 25. If you have not signed up but would like to join this tour, now is the time to act.

This is the same tour you can get tickets for downtown, but with three major benefits.

-The convenience of being picked up right in the campground.

-This is a private tour just for our group.

-The cost savings! This is the best deal in town for this tour.
(The cost for this tour is $35.00 anywhere else)

You can follow the link below to access the signup for the waitlist. Once we have at least 25 willing to attend, we will open up the slots on the other sign up.

See you in Gettysburg!
Rob and Stephanie
