It's Iowa. One year it snowed, one year it rained, most of the time the weather is perfect but come prepared for anything. When it gets to be about a week out I try to update the forecast on here.

I wish we were up in Amana right now. The temperatures are 10 to 15 degrees cooler than home.

The worst NJ summer I've ever lived through has finally improved. Temps are high in high 70s, low 80s this week, ahhhhhhh! And low humidity! Windows have been open for 3 day now. No damn machinery!



Nice to see a rally out West, seems like there's a dearth of western rallies. I take full advantage of numerous eastern rallies.

I used to travel to Des Moines regularly for work, i loved the warmer months of the year, LOL.

Itinerary

Thursday 4:00-5:30 registration and meet and greet at the Morton building. You will get a name tag, some FROG gear, and a chance to buy raffle tickets for a cornhole set.

Friday freestyle the day in Amana and enjoy the sights and sounds!
Potluck at 5:30 pm PLEASE BRING YOU’RE OWN TABLE SERVICE AND DRINKS!
Bring a hot or cold dish to pass and please label your dish.
Live Music with Cole Thomas 7-9 PM. Tips appreciated.
Camper crawl starting about 7:30 pm. If you want to host your camper please email me. Camper crawl subject to weather conditions. If it does rain we can still share the beverages in the Morton building.

Saturday free style in town all day.
4:00 pm Photo organization class presented by Lindsay Wessling. Bring your phone/tablet/ipad/laptop with you-Her campsite
6:00 pm catered meal compliments of F.R.O.G in the Morton building.
Cornhole tournament starting about 7:00 pm in the Morton building.
If you have a cornhole set feel free to bring it. We need 5 sets and I have 2 confirmed (mine) for the tournament.
And as always we’ll have a custom made ONE OF A KIND cornhole boards and bags to raffle off and all proceeds go to a charity! 2022 we raised $800.00!
Going forward this event will move to online registration through FROG. There will be no early registration at the end of this event. Registration should be open in January 2024.

I have a few questions about the Amana RV park.

1) Are there picnic tables at each site? I am debating on bringing my small table for my Blackstone.

2) Do we come in the main entrance or the event entrance?

I am not sure they have picnic tables at every site so I would certainly bring one. Here is a table I use for my Blackstone. Mines a 17" but it will also work for the 22" https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e?ie=UTF8&th=1

Go through the main entrance as they will have check in and guide you to your site from there.

There are other things to enjoy in Amana so this isn't required but if you like good polka music you may want to go!
