We will be coming in from the East on 34/E. Monroe St. that looks to be on the North side of the fairgrounds.

Has anyone made the trek west across 20 from the Ohio line to the fairgrounds?
Is that a viable route? I heard I-80/90 was really rough in Indiana.
Only one entrance to fair ground its the main gate. Its the gate you will use for the rally. Don't recall the street name. Later RJD

I think all the entrances are closed other than main entrance. Yes, the north side entrance on E. Monroe is what you will use. I took highway 20 home, it is a beautiful highway. Got my wife to drive pulling trailer for first time on that road. Was the perfect road to have her get accustomed to towing, lower traffic, and good roadway conditions.

We always get off the last exit of the OH turnpike and take 49 to route 20. Two lane road, but easy travel. There is a traffic circle in Angola, but it’s not difficult. Makes a nice easy final stretch of road travel.

My route to the rally for the last several years takes US 20 from I-69 to IN-5 then south to W County Rd 200 S then west to S County Rd 1000 W then south to W County Rd 400 S (turn west) which becomes County Rd 34 at E County Line Rd. Entrance to the rally is on CR 34. No issues pulling a 30' trailer on this route. Next to no traffic after leaving US 20, though watch for the Amish! All these back roads have been in great shape.

Main gate is gate 2. There are signs at the gate as well as greeters there to meet you, during parking hours. We are from Northeastern PA snd came down 80/90. There are some rough patches mostly entering Indiana.

Food Alergies

My DW has food allergies. What is the procedure to find out about the ingredients used in the meals?

We did post a link on the main rally page that shows the meals for each day, but it might be best to ask one of the servers if there is someone there that MIGHT be able to break down what is in the dishes as far as ingredients, sorry that is the best I can suggest. Hope it helps some.

IMPORTANT INFORMAMTION

Due to last minute construction project the entrance to the rally has been changed and we apologize for any confusion.

DO NOT ENTER THRU GATE 2, PLEASE GO TO DATE 3 THEN FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF THE VOLUNTEER. GATE 2 WILL BE PARTIALLY BLOCKED AND SIGNS WILL DIRECT YOU TO GATE 3 AND EVEN THE ELECTRIC SIGN WILL DIRECT YOU TO GATE 3.

IF COMING FROM THE EAST ON COUNTY ROAD 34 GATE 3 WILL BE BEFORE GATE 2, WATCH FOR A SIGN TO DIRECT YOU TO TURN LEFT, IF YOU SEE CAMPERS ON YOUR LEFT GATE 3 IS THE VERY NEXT GATE, PLEASE APPROACH SLOWLY TO ENTER THE GATE AS IF YOU PASS GATE 3 YOU MIGHT HAVE TO GO A DISTANCE TO TURN AROUND TO ENTER THE CORRECT GATE.

SORRY FPR THE SHOIUTING AND THE CONFUSUION BUT I HOPE I GOT YOUR ATTENTION AND THIS HELPS FOLKS OUT.

Thanks for all the travel advice. I think we are going to try 20 and see how it is.
Looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday. We leave out of here (SW PA) as soon as I finish my playing performance Saturday afternoon with my band. (Hickory Bottom Band) We'll be all packed and hitched and ready to roll. Hoping to get a few hours of drive time in Saturday evening and then arrive Sunday around Noonish.

Here's a satellite view. North is at the top of the picture. In the past, and I'll guess again this year. Check-in will be in front of the large building on the south side of the large parking lot that is between gates 2 and 3.

Mike Stump is planning to be in the area by the vendor buildings both Monday and Tuesday around 9:00 a.m. He does run out fairly quickly, but he doesn't sell out. The corn is free.

There has been a construction project going on for the past year and a half to widen US 20 to four lanes from Northridge High School on the west edge of Middlebury to Highway 15, where the Gallup's Truck Stop that looks like a castle. That project has just been completed, and all of the lanes are now open.

I'm not sure about that one on US 33 coming up from Fort Wayne as you corrected below. I've not been down that route to Fort Wayne for a couple of years. for a couple of years. If you're coming up from Fort Wayne you can continue north on I-69 and get off at westbound US 20 and come that way over through LaGrange and Shipshewana to Middlebury and south from there.

Tank Dumping

For folks not assigned full hookup, is there an opportunity to dump tanks before setting up?

Yes, when you arrive the front desk knows what sites have sewer or not and they will ask you if you need to dump. You will be taken to a dump location before being parked. We have around 120 units due to arrive today.
